National Advisory Council
Robert Thompson was born in Modesto, California in 1958. The family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he lived the first half of his life.
He attended ASU and worked in retail sales in the mid 1970s. He was promoted from part-time clerk to district manager within seven months.
After returning to the Bay Area to assist family, he co-founded a contracting business. The firm grew from three to over fifty employees over three years.
After marriage he moved to Portland, Oregon for over 25 years. In The Rose City he developed and marketed an advertising based component for a soon to be national directory assistance start up which went public four years later.
He then became a stock broker on the way to becoming a registered principal. He trained and supported the development of over 100 brokers.
Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to St. George, Utah and co-founded Pure Pickleball.
